Common questions and troubleshooting for SentinelBox.

General

Is SentinelBox free? Yes. SentinelBox is free to download and use.

Does it require an account or internet connection? No. SentinelBox works entirely offline. No account, no telemetry, no cloud dependency.

Does it collect any data? No. SentinelBox does not collect or transmit any data from your system.


Compatibility

Which GPU vendors are supported? NVIDIA (via NVML), AMD (via ADL), and Intel Arc GPUs are supported. Keep your drivers up to date.

Does it work with laptop GPUs? Yes, discrete laptop GPUs are supported. Integrated GPUs can be hidden via the iGPU filter.


Troubleshooting

My GPU isn’t showing up. Check that your GPU drivers are installed and up to date. Restart SentinelBox after updating drivers. If it still doesn’t appear, contact support.

Temperatures look wrong / all zeros. Update your GPU driver. On NVIDIA cards, make sure NVML is installed — it ships with standard drivers.

SentinelBox won’t start. Ensure .NET 8 is installed. Try running as administrator on first launch. Check Windows Event Viewer for error details.

Windows Defender / antivirus flags the installer. The installer is clean. Newly signed executables are sometimes flagged by heuristic scanners. You can verify the file hash on the download page.

Alerts aren’t firing. Confirm thresholds are enabled in Settings → Alerts. Check that Windows notifications are allowed for SentinelBox in Windows Settings → System → Notifications.
