DeepToDo is a task management app developed by BlueLogic Software (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Locally Stored Data

DeepToDo stores the following data on your device only:

  • Task titles, descriptions, priorities, and deadlines
  • Calendar events
  • Voice recordings and transcriptions (created by the user — stored on device only, never sent to any server)
  • App settings and preferences

This data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to BlueLogic Software servers.

Device Calendar Access

  • The app can read and write events to your device calendar with your permission.
  • This feature only works when enabled by you.
  • Calendar data stays on your device and is not sent to BlueLogic Software servers.
  • Sync is limited to the calendar account you select.

Cloud Sync

  • The app can sync tasks across devices using Google Firebase.
  • When enabled, task data (title, description, date, priority) is transmitted to Firebase servers over an encrypted connection.
  • You can sign in anonymously or with a Google account.

Data Collected by Third-Party Services

  • Google AdMob: Our app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and measure ad performance. If you do not consent, only non-personalized (contextual) ads will be shown. Consent for personalized ads applies to the IAB TCF purposes listed in the UMP flow.
  • Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase): Stores your synced tasks, shared list data, anonymous/Google user ID, and list sharing records.
  • Google Play Billing: Used for in-app purchases and premium subscription management. Purchase status is linked to your account; Google does not share your payment details with us.

Firebase Crashlytics

  • The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and error logs.
  • Data collected includes: device model, operating system version, and stack trace information.
  • This data is used solely to improve app stability.
  • You can disable crash reporting from Settings > Support.

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

  • Required on Android 13+ for task reminders, deadline alerts, and pomodoro notifications.
  • If denied, reminders will not work but the app remains usable.

Google Calendar API

  • The app uses the Google Calendar API to display public holiday information.
  • Only read operations are performed via Google Calendar API; no personal calendar data is sent to Google.

2. How We Use Data

  • Providing app functionality (task management, calendar, voice recording)
  • Syncing with your device calendar (when enabled by you)
  • Syncing tasks via the cloud (Firebase)
  • Displaying ads (via Google AdMob)

3. Data Sharing

Your tasks, events, and voice recordings are not shared with third parties. Calendar sync is limited to your device only and data is not sent to external servers. Firebase cloud sync is stored under your own account. Only Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and share them with ad networks for advertising purposes.

Shared Lists

  • Users can share task lists with other users via an invite code.
  • Task titles, descriptions, and statuses in a shared list are visible to and editable by all members who have joined the list.
  • When you share a list or join one, the user IDs (UIDs), display names, and roles (owner/member) of all participants are stored in Cloud Firestore. These records are removed when you leave the list or the list is deleted.
  • The list owner can remove the share at any time; members can leave at any time.
  • Your personal tasks are not visible to other users unless you explicitly share them.

4. Data Security

User data is stored locally on the device. All data transfers with third-party services are conducted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

5. Children’s Privacy

DeepToDo is designed for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

6. Your Rights

  • You can delete all task and event data from within the app
  • You can delete your voice recordings at any time
  • You can disable calendar sync at any time
  • You can sign out of cloud sync
  • You can remove all local data by uninstalling the app
  • You can disable Google ad personalization from your device settings
  • You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
  • You can disable crash reporting (Settings > Support > Crash Reports)
  • You can unlink your Google account

7. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

This app uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we display a consent dialog compliant with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2 before any personalized advertising is loaded.

What you consent to: Processing of personal data (including device identifiers, approximate or precise location, and interaction data) by Google and its advertising partners for the purposes of personalized advertising, ad measurement, and audience insights. Google works with more than 200 certified advertising partners; the current list is maintained at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903 and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices/.

Where your choices are stored: Your consent selections are stored on your device using the IAB-standard IABTCF_* keys in the app’s local storage. These selections remain valid for up to 390 days and are overwritten whenever you make new privacy choices in this app.

How to change or withdraw your consent: Open the app, tap Settings → Preferences → Privacy Settings. This opens the same consent dialog you saw on first launch, where you can update or fully withdraw your choices at any time.

If you decline personalized advertising, ads may still be shown but will be contextual (non-personalized) and not based on your profile.

8. Data Retention

  • When your account is deleted, all cloud data (tasks, shared lists) is permanently removed.
  • Local data is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes may be communicated through an in-app notification.
